The groms lovin' the 29 degree day // City Beach on Sat 12.05.2012
How's the weather over the weekend? 29 degrees and sunny all day on Saturday. Not much in the wave department but a crackin' day for the beach anyway. Not a bad sunset either!

There's been a bit going on this last week. We've had some waves. I hit the skate park with a few buddies. The groms have competed. I scored 4 bronzes in the International Loupe Awards!

I've been heading down south a bit lately with a few guys to try to score an offshore bombie. We haven't had the perfect conditions yet but as dear old mum says…persistence pays off. I can only show you an empty wave at this stage as the other shots are going elsewhere.

A week of waves! That hasn't happened for a while now. Combine that with hot days and warm water and there were smiles all round.

It looks like the waves in Tahiti are not much better that what we're seeing here in WA at the moment. Competition has been put on hold again on day 7 with only 3 foot waves. It'll be interesting to see if a winner can be crowned at Chopes with only 5 days remaining. Predictions for some swell tomorrow are looking promising. Check out some of the behind the scenes action while the wait is on.
