Picture this. A beach break with small waves, say 1-2 foot. The banks are a little straight. This is Perth! Not the ideal conditions for a Pro Junior surf comp. I wasn't expecting too much but these young frothers blew me away. They were actually making the surf look pretty damn good! Airs, tail slides, 360's...all on waist high waves.

I've been flat out since being back from Bali and had struggled to get any decent photos until yesterday. I had a shoot booked in with a local body boarder and was lucky enough to fill up a couple of memory cards over a few hours of fun waves down at Scarborough. Saved!!

I'm back. What a weather shock. I've gone from 29 degrees and 100% humidity in Bali to 20 degrees and bucketing rain in Perth. I missed my banana pancake this morning and surely will also miss the Bintang at lunch time. Back to reality!

I'd like to think that I was able to have some R&R over the Easter break but it didn't really happen. Pretty much stuck behind a computer for the long, long weekend getting everything prepared for our exhibition - Seachange (Suit to Surf). There's a dim light at the end of the tunnel...Bali with the boys! Boardies and Bintangs. Focus. Focus!
