I'm still amazed that you can score a fun, barrelling bank to yourself in the Perth metro area! How's the contrast between photos 2 and 3? No trick photography here. Just a guy enjoying a mid morning solo session. We've had some cracking waves in the last week. Not only in Perth but over in Tahiti as well. Surf, take photos, stream Teahupoo live…it's all been going on.

Places that I've rarely or never seen break have been firing!

We've had some extreme changes in the weather this past week. Last Tuesday I was out taking advantage of a still night with clear skies, capturing some long exposure photos. Sunday & Monday I was down in Margaret River looking to get some shots of the predicted 7.0m swell...but instead took a beatdown by the 50+ knot winds.

I had never considered hiring a photographer to go with me on a surf trip or even for a day at the beach.  In my mind this is only something the pro's would do. I kept asking my wife, Zoe, to come down and take a few photos of me on some waves. I
